Late Hridaya Chandra Singha Pradhan has made
a great sacrifice for the cause of Nepalese literature. In spite of his
bad health, he devoted most of his time for the development and progress
of the Nepalese literature. His ideology and attitude were of democratic
and social reforms. He was a champion of women's emancipation. Even in the
Rana regime, he expressed his strong opposition against the then prevailing
system in a satirical and humorous way in a self-introductory essay based
on the personal subject matter. He adhered to the ideology of 'art for life
sake' and translated it into his literary works. 20 his of books have already
been published, and there are 9 or 10 books to be published yet. He penned
almost in every genre of literature. Poems, novels, plays, stories, essays,
critiques, and Nepali grammar are among his published materials. |
